Here are our photos from the Grand Canyon. We spent a little under three days camping at some pretty deluxe national park campsites- flush toilets, running water, plenty of ravens and even a few visiting elk. Our most memorable day was the 16.5 mile rim to river to rim hike in and out of the canyon. There are signs all over the park telling people not to do it and listing statistics of all the people who have died in the canyon, but good old hubris and ignorance about the actual distance of what we were attempting gave us all the courage we needed to go for it. It hurt. It still hurts two days later. It turns out we aren't 16 anymore. Still, the views were amazing and we're both glad we did it. I hope you all enjoy the photos.
